Lead. Inspire. Grow.

Beatson Cancer Charity is seeking an exceptional Director of Fundraising to lead its fundraising function and shape the next chapter of its income generation.

Based in Glasgow, this is an opportunity to build on an established fundraising operation, develop new opportunities for growth and help ensure the Charity can make an even greater difference to people affected by cancer.

About the Opportunity

With annual income of approximately £10 million, Beatson Cancer Charity has ambitions to grow its income and extend its impact. The new Director of Fundraising will play a pivotal role in realising that potential, developing and delivering an ambitious, sustainable fundraising strategy.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across fundraising, identifying opportunities to grow income, strengthen supporter engagement and develop new approaches. A particular focus will be on individual and mid-level giving, supporter acquisition and legacy fundraising, using data and insight to inform decisions and maximise long-term potential.

You will lead and develop a talented team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity and high performance. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will contribute to the Charity’s wider strategic direction and work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to support its continued development.

About You

You will be an accomplished senior fundraising leader with a strong track record of delivering significant income growth and developing successful fundraising strategies across a range of income streams.

You will bring expertise in individual giving, supporter acquisition and data-led fundraising, alongside the ability to translate insight into practical strategies that deliver results.

An inspiring and confident leader, you will have experience developing teams, driving performance and creating an environment where people can thrive. You will combine strategic thinking with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach, bringing energy, creativity and fresh ideas.

A natural relationship-builder, you will be comfortable working with senior stakeholders, supporters and trustees, and bring the judgement and presence to contribute effectively at executive level. Experience of major appeals or capital fundraising would be advantageous.

Above all, you will be motivated by the opportunity to help Beatson Cancer Charity grow its impact, bringing ambition, integrity and a strong commitment to its purpose.

Why Beatson Cancer Charity?

Beatson Cancer Charity supports people affected by cancer through its work with the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre and the wider community. Its work helps enhance care, support patients and families, and fund initiatives that make a meaningful difference to people’s lives.

This is an opportunity to join an organisation with an established reputation and a clear ambition for the future, where your leadership can help translate fundraising success into an even greater impact.
